Jama Masjid is the largest mosque in India. Located in Old Delhi, the mosque has the capacity to accommodate 25000 devotees. Jama Masjid was completed in 1656 AD and it was again the great Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan behind this architectural masterpiece. Surrounded by a hyperactive Delhi-6, the Jama Masjid compound is unbelievably serene. Only the pigeons lovingly fed in the compound can take this calm for granted and break it with one synchronized motion of spreading their wings and taking flight. The fluttering of their wings is like a symphony, a Sufi offering to allah, their protector.
